BODIES, GAMES, CONNECTIONS.

The word “Players” should represent us. We are all players in our own lives, and the clothes that accompany us should reflect who we are, the game we play, and the people we play it with.

Once again, the world of sports guides us and teaches us something: it reminds us of the importance of our relationship with our bodies, the relationship with the clothes we wear, and most importantly, with others, as part of teams that are not always the same one.

“Players” is a collection of upcycled garments whose shapes and silhouettes are inspired by the history of sportswear, reimagined and crafted with fabrics that meet the needs of our ultra-urban daily lives: amid concrete streets, frantic traffic, and fleeting encounters monitored by ever-smarter yet increasingly less human phones.

Once again, with its signature irony, Giglio Tigrato seeks to break away from the obsessive chase of trends that shift as quickly as our moods, leading us to a place where time slows down and delves into the all-Italian traditions of the bar, to remind us that: What we wear should make us feel good about ourselves, always. It should befunctional, supporting us through every part of our day. What we wear should make us feel comfortable in our own bodies, always. It should make us feel confident and enhance our natural form. What we wear should make us feel part of a group, always. It should define our role in the team, giving us a sense of belonging and unity.

This is how sport becomes the medium for telling a new Giglio story: not just Sportswear, as we might be used to, but passion, effort, struggle, triumphs and losses, competition, teamwork and dream.
